CORDELL

Come relax and stay for awhile to experience the difference a small town can make on your life. Just the slow-paced and friendly people you meet are worth taking some time to investigate this quiet little community further.

How about grabbing a burger then take it to the park across the street. If you have the energy you could try your game at tennis near the park. Then there are the quaint shops that are only a 2 minute walk from the park. There on the town square, you never know what little treasure you may find. While you’re checking out the Courthouse Square you will also see the Museum and Library. Have you noticed by now that usually whenever you leave a store they say “Come back” It sure is nice to feel welcome. Stores are not usually crowded here, but if you are in line at check-out and there is more than 2 or 3 people in from of you, they will call for another checker. Now, that is something you don’t see in a large city.

In 2009 even Hollywood found our community interesting enough that they came here to film some scenes from the movie “The Killer Inside Me” to be released June of 2010. The movie stars include: Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Ned Beatty, Simon Baker, Matt & Maher, and more. Michael Winterbottom is the Director of this film. Hundreds of extras were on location from Cordell and surround areas. When evening rolls around, retire for the night at the clean and quite American owned motel just 4 short blocks from town square.

The next morning you will awake with the understand why they call Cordell the friendly city with the big spirit of Oklahoma.  Ya’ll come back!
